Welcome to Explore paragliding!
We are a team of experienced pilots who are passionate about sharing the thrill and excitement of paragliding with others. We have been providing tandem flights and paragliding courses to ambitious pilots of all skill levels since 2012.
We are located in Chania, Crete, known for its beautiful scenery and excellent flying conditions. We take advantage of the local terrain and weather to provide our passengers with an unforgettable experience. Our certified instructors are dedicated to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of all our clients.
We offer a variety of services including tandem flights, paragliding courses, and guided tours. Our goal is to provide you with the best possible experience while you learn and fly with us.

Yannis is the founder of “Cretan Paragliding”. He started to fly back in 2006 and since then he got hooked by the sport. He become a paragliding instructor by the Greek Air Sport Federation in 2012 and the same year he set up the Cretan Paragliding school. He participates in Greek and international competitions, and he has been many times on the podium and he is an active member of the National Greek Paragliding team. He enjoys to share the feeling of excitement and happiness that a flight offers. In his free time, he likes to hike, swim and sailing. But mostly, you will find him on the air!
Giorgos Konios
Instructor / Tandem pilot
George has been flying paragliders since 1999. His deep knowledge of the
flight is appreciated for the entire community of paragliding in Crete.
He became a paragliding instructor by the Greek Air Sport Federation in
2022. He also participates in Greek competitions. In his free time, he
likes to ride his bike and study in robotic science. He enjoys fly
tandem, in order to share the feeling fly like a bird.
Dimitris (Jimmy) Chondros

He started paragliding lessons in 2006.
Since then he has been trying to be on the mountains as often as he can and fly. In
2012 he got certified as a paragliding instructor from the Hellenic Air Sports Federation. In 2015, he established the company “Skyland activities”
and got more intensively engaged in training and tandem flights. At the
same time, took
his first timid steps in
hiking. In 2022 he began his collaboration with Yannis and Explore Paragliding. At the same time, he work as a mountain guide.
he likes spend his free time in nature doing activities.
